| In the mid 1960s I used to walk on this path across the King George Playing Field enroute to swimming lessons at the new pool in St Georges Way. Just off Sish Lane I well remember some old cottages by the path. |

There was a thatched house where Mr Barker lived. Once it burnt down (in 1967?) the path was realigned which allowed Harpers Garage to expand. |
