River Wye below Symonds Yat. The White boat is possible the "cable" ferry. |

I believe this is Symonds Yat (East & West) looking up-stream, the Wye rapids pass the island bottom centre of the photo. On the right of the bend you can see the curve of the Monmouth to Ross (GWR) railway that my father worked on. The famous view pont and Hill Fort "Yat Rock" is just out of shot on the left |
