SS 'Lochgarry' , Macbrayne's summer cruise ship. Acquired by them from Burns & Laird Lines in January 1937, she had been launched as ' Vulture' in 1898 for the Burns fleet and later renamed 'Lairdsrock'. Sank off Rathlin Island on transport duties 21/1/1942. Her wreck is now a popular diving site. |
