The Feathers. This pub survived the makor demolition of the 1970s and is still in business (2013). It was orginally named The Prince of Wales' Feathers. |

The Old King Inn. Demolished in 1975 to make way for a major road widening scheme. This whole area is nowadays (2013) a major road junction where the main road from Halifax splits into roads to Burnley and Rochdale. |

At the time of this picture this was King Cross Police Station. Now demolished and an empty site (2013). |

King Cross branch of the Halifax Industrial Society (the Co-Op). Still there (2013)as a supermarket but no longer part of the Co-Op. |

Old St Pauls church. According to Wikipedia:
"Following a fire in the old St. Pauls in 1930, during which the roof was destroyed, the building was demolished in 1931, leaving only the tower and spire standing." |
