On 'Grouping', the Somerset and Dorset Joint Railway became a joint operation for the LMS and the Southern railways. In 1930 they agreed that the Southern should maintain the infrastructure and the LMS provide the locomotives and work the trains. Hence the appearance of the SR concrete footbridge. |
