This was the home of the Falcon Airscrew Co that supplied around 80% of propellers to British aircraft in WW1. D.M.Davies used his knowledge of woodworking to develop propeller manufacture, 2, 3 and 4 pin.

The company also developed a method of attaching a metal sleeve to the leading edge of propellers to protect them.

"Falcon Airscrews gained and excellent reputation during the War," (Flight Sept 27 1923)
