Interesting that the parish church, St Georges as well as the Gants Hill Congregational Church are still to be built in this photo, yet their respective church halls have already been completed. I always thought that Woodford Avenue and Eastern Avenue were planned as duel carriage ways from the start, however they are single carriage ways here, though clearly with room left for dueling at a later stage. |
