I'm not sure if this is still the Meux Horseshoe Brewery which had its entrance yeard on Tottenham Court Road before the Court Cinema was built. |

The Court Cinema. It closed in 1928 and was replaced by the much grander Dominion Theatre.

The Crosse and Blackwell pickle factory. The next building to the left is the C & B warehouse. They moved out in the year of this photo. In 1926/27 the factory was converted to the Astoria Theatre, later the Astoria Cinema and Dance Hall.

About here - the location for the Centre Point tower, a speculative office block, 385 feet tall, designed in the Brutalist style by Richard Seifert and completed in 1966. It borders St Giles Circus, the meeting of Charing Cross Road, Oxford Street, New Oxford Street and Tottenham Court Road |

About here was the site of St Martin's School of Art, noted for its sculptors such as Anthony Caro, and fashion designers and others. It merged with the Central School of Art in 1989 and has recently moved to a new campus at King's Cross |
