Railway wagons. For either English Steel traffic, or possibly Clayton Aniline, as there was a level crossing here across the road to the left (Clayton Lane) into the latters premises, and could also continue through Stuart St. power station railway and sidings, to Baguley Fold exchange sidings, on ex-L&Y Victoria to Stalybridge line, and in the other direction, to ex-GCR London rd. to Sheffield line at Ashburys' sidings (via the Wood st. street level railway, part of the track still in situ in Wood St. south of Ashton Old Rd, in Feb 2019 .
