Sanderson Brothers & Newbould - later Sanderson Kayser. Its history can be traced back to the 1500's and was one of the earliest processors of steel in the area and probably the longest lived. Little known outside the city, and to more recent interlopers, many of Sheffield's big name steel companies were formed by former employee's of the company. Find out more by locating a copy of '400 Years of Steel' printed to celebrate the company's bi-centenary as a registered company, one of the first 5000 companies registered in th UK.
Final closure came at the end of 2013 following a series of 'acquisitions' by American companies. |
