This red-brick hydraulic accumulator tower was still standing in 1998 and had, by that time, become a listed structure. In spite of it being "listed", it was demolished as the site was required for redevelopment.

Saint Mary Matfelon Church which was destroyed during The Blitz in 1940. The ruins were finally demolished in 1952 and the site of the church was known as "St Mary's Park" until it was renamed "Altab Ali Park" in 1998. The outline of the footprint of the church is all that remains of it.
