Mill lodge, supply of water for Sun mill steam engine, power around 2500HP. This Water was around 8 feet deep. When the mill was working the water was warm as the steam used in the engine was condensed & fed back into the boiler water feed. The condensing cooling system also used this lodge water, so it got gradually warmer. Very dangerous place for children to play most had a large wall around. One of my friends died from drowning in the Wren mill lodge 1000 yards from this mill.
