Sun mill engine house, a large steam engine powered the cotton spindle frames this engine being around 2500HP at 800RPM

the sun mill engine was in fact an inverted vertical triple expansion by scott and hodgeson guide bridge and it developed 3750 hp at 80 rpm scrapped in 1959/60 when the mill closed
