Letters was my first thought, but they could be groups under instruction, there seems to be one or two figures the rest sre gouped around. My guess is it's a ground training establishment for the RAF. There's a patially dismantled halifax minus wings, but no apparent maintenance hangars. There are also a number of squads on the parade ground, again suggesting a basic training unit? |

Next photo in sequence shows an airfield adjacent to this site. So this is the domestic site for a grass airfield, technical site at opposite side of airfield. |

No. They're square bashing. I realised this on another of the series, before I came to the one that said this. Series runs from eaw001925 to eaw001931. |
