Last evidence of the Horse Ring, the main arena of the ill-fated Royal Agricultural Society Showground (1903-05). Also used by QPR before settling at the purpose built football stadium opposite Park Royal station.

This was the GWR's new North main line, diverging from the original at Old Oak and giving a shorter route to Birmingham to better compete with the LNWR from Euston. Park Royal station was opened by the King in 1903 to serve the Royal Agricultural Society's intended permanent showground. It also served the new football ground alongside, occupied by QPR from 1907 until forced out by the military in 1915. The station closed in 1937.

Home to QPR from 1907–1917, they took their main stand with them and rebuilt at their new Loftus Road ground. Also used for one international Rugby League match.

Ground built by Great Western Railway, note original Park Royal station alongside. The grandstand loiter moved to Loftus Road stood along this touchline. Capacity claimed as 60,000. Rangers forced out February 1915 when the military requisitioned ground. What would the club give for a site like this today ?
