 Site built upon in WWII as a Royal Ordnance gun factory. After the war the facilities were owned and used Standard Telephones & Cables Ltd as their telephone cable factory (especially after the Woolwich plant closed). Closed in the '80s and demolished in 1990s, area is now rough ground again. |

| Maindee Fire Station -(today) built on land where a german bomb dropped in 1941 and demolished the houses seen in this picture. sadly many lives were lost. |
