The tag marked Greyhound Track was the The Athletic Ground (also known as the Ynys Stadium). Aberdare Athletic played their Football League games there. It was also used for Rugby League Internationals. Now overlain by the Michael Sobell Sports Centre CF44 7RP

Aview looking South East over Aberdare town centre. We see the River Cynon and both the Taff Vale and Great Western Railways. The road network is unique and some of the street names have been added to aid identification.

Aberdare in South Wales.

The Stadium in the fork of the railway lines is Ynys Stadium, home of Aberdare Athletic who were Football League Div 3 South members from 1921 to 1927.
