I don't think that this is a wall but possibly a forestry planting furrow. It does not aid identification. |

View is looking south east over High Mark with the Drumahallen Burn on the left and the March Burn on the right. I obviously had a bad day in July and marked several markers incorrectly which I have now corrected. It may be difficult to gather more evidence although I have examined the archives of the National Library of Scotland to see their old maps. There is not much here to identify. I think that the patterns in the vegetation are most helpful particularly if you can connect a patch with the same patch in a photo which has been identified. |

Dear Class 31, Thanks for your help, I've been trying to figure this one out, but I don't think this one is solved just yet. Comparing with SPW050993 we can see the light patch of ground and the head of the Drumahallan burn in the top left of this image. If that is the case then we would be looking south of the Drumahallan Burn in the area around High Mark, Wee Leith Hill and Low Mark. I have so far been unable to match any of the wall lines, so for the time being I think this one should remain unidentified. Do you have any other ideas where it might be? I shall have another look at this one. I notice that I had marked the Drumahallen Burn in two separate places which was clearly an error. The large vegetation area is the same in both pictures and to my mind is central to this identification. I shall endeavour to gather more evidence to support my contention. It is a very challenging area to identify. |
