Commerce Street in the centre, with Queen st and the Square to the left and shore St to the right. Pitgaveny St runs across. A few steam drifters remain among the new motor vessels. No oil tanks yet, nor a covered fish market. The tripod shear-legs was for lifting boilers and engines into the drifters. the many beach huts are just visible on the West beach. The coal shed have been replaced by new flats. |
