Clydebank FC played here from 1914 until winding up July 1931. CFC were a senior club playing in the Scottish League. The stadium was latterly used for Greyhound racing until the 1960s. Not to be confused with Clydebank Juniors who played at Kilbowie Park until 1938 and then moved to the New Kilbowie for the 1939-40 season. These two grounds lie just off the left edge of this shot. |

Slight identity crisis when I saw this entry til I noticed the subtly different ID ! Actually this wasn't Clydebank Juniors home, at this time they played at a ground next to the Kilbowie Iron Works on Livingston Road. This was the original Kilbowie Park, vacated in 1939 when the works needed to expand. |
