Site of the first Lewisham Station (1849-1857), it closed when the current station opened to cater for both North Kent and the Mid Kent Lines.

Railway line to Beckenham

Line to Blackheath where it splits again with one line running through Charlton and Woolwich, the other forming the 'Bexleyheath' line to Dartford.

Former route of the railway from Nunhead to Greenwich Park station. This opened in 1888 and closed in 1917 as a WW1 economy measure - most passengers had changed over to local tram services. In 1929 the Southern Railway diverted the line into Lewisham, and it has remained open ever since.

Major substation and electrical control centre serving the Southern Railway's 3rd rail electrification system in SE London.

Where Brookmill / Ravensbourne Park is today. At the time of this picture this was largely a recreation ground but was also the site of Emmanuel Church, destroyed in 1940.
