It's reassuring to see that in print; especially after the long time spent queuing in Hallfield Road to get to see him. Unusually for Santa, he had a microphone; he asked my age; say "a 5 year old boy" into his microphone; and a present would drop down his chimney . . . what a coincidence! His grotto conveniently led into the toy department. The military head-wear depicted in the Busby branding was in fact a Bearskin; a Busby was a far smaller item. |
