This portion of the CLC line to Southport Lord Street station

was officialy known as the Southport and Cheshire Lines Extension Railway. Most of the Lord Street station building is still extant as part of an hotel. Interestingly, the station clock tower still shows the legend SCLER in the masonry, despite the station's closure back in January 1952 - Until 1960, the line was used for a special goods service to Altcar & Hillhouse station sidings.

Not really, only one coach, more like a special working. Could be an Engineer's inspection saloon.
