Outside Fitting Shop where I worked from my 16th birthday, 14 October 1965, until 17 July 1966 when I moved to the Valve Shop - although it was generally called the Brass Shop. I finished my apprenticeship with 8 months in the Erecti g Shop, building the engines.

Burn Closes bridge, constructed by Wallsend and Northumberland Councils over 1912-1913. The contractor was W. T. Weir, of Howdon.
