The Caen stone quoins and Kentish Ragstone infills were repaired, the chimneys replaced, the cast iron windows grit blasted and their 2,805 glass diamonds replaced.' The station became unstaffed during the early 2000s and the station building has been an Indian restaurant for several years as at 2014.
