Do you photoshop damaged negs in cases where there isn't a lot of detail damaged? |

Hello Allen T Thanks for enquiry. The images on our website are produced from B&W negatives. We therefore work on all the images in Photoshop to produce what you see. If there is a small amount of damage to a negative in an insignificant area we may tidy it a little but as a rule we do not remove damage. We aim to digitally preserve the integrity of the original, and interpret the negatives as Aerofilms would have in the darkroom. Regards Liz Britain from Above Digitisation Team Leader |

Hi rodgeyrog, The thin black lines that you can see are where the emulsion has broken and peeled from the glass plate. Yours, Katy Britain from Above Cataloguing Team Leader |
