Established in 1890. One of the stands suffered an arson attack by suffragettes in 1913. After closure in 1962 - the last race meeting was held on the 10 October - the site was given over to new housing developments |

Not one I can personally remember as it closed in 1962 but know it's mentioned in a Dick Francis novel somewhere - may have to have a hunt and see which one! |
