The house, which was remodelled by Giacomo Leoni in the 1720s, is Grade I Listed. The Grosvenor family owned the estate from 1828. The World War II airborne operation Market Garden was planned here - [A Bridge Too Far]. The golf course opened in 1923. Many estates were sold or adjusted to circumstances folowing World War I |
