Hi all, I'm a football resercher from Spain. It has recently been discovered that Hugh Maccoll and Gilbert Reid Pollock founded Spain's oldest football club (Sevilla FC) 0n January, 25 1890. Hugh was the club's first captain and Pollock scored the first away goal. When they returned to GB, they founded Wreath Quay Engine Works (MacColl & Pollock Ltd.). Please anyone with further information, photos...? Could you specify in which part of this photo is the Company Maccoll&Pollock?

The pin is on the Colliery Tavern, now opposite the Stadium of Light. The streets behind are still there, but those to the left have all been cleared, apart from the terrace on Southwick Road. Interesting to see the new Tesco site before it was the retail park too!
