Stable block. I worked here for Sheffield City Polytechnic in the late 1970s. It was used for PE and sports science teaching mainly but the Environmental Science Dept had labs here. There was a strange squash court in the block. It needed local rules to deal with the stepped ceiling.There was a basketball court which was so cold it was called The Fridge. |
