These had an impressively long service life. I can just remember them on the Metropolitan Line Uxbridge service until they were finally replaced by A60/62 stock. Their swansong was on the East London Line until the latter end of 1963 when they were replaced by Q Stock units. They were still serviced and maintained at Neasden Depot during this period. |

There would appear to be several District Line 'B' stock cars in the works possibly part of the conversion of motor cars to trailers commenced in 1923. |
