Napier cars were built from 1900 to 1924. Only 4,258 were manufactured. Aircraft were built at the company's Acton factory - presumably here? - during World War I. 50 of the RE7s, 400 RE8s and 150 Sopwith Snipes were constructed. Napier was taken over by English Electric in 1942. Noted for developing the very powerful Napier Sabre aero engine |
