The Crown Public House. At this time still owned by The Royal Brewery of Brentford, who were acquired by Style and Winch (of Maidstone and Dartford) in 1922, who in turn were taken over by Barclay Perkins (of Southwark) in 1929. It was in Courage ownership by the late 1960s. Attached is a picture in Barclay Perkins days.

in 1940 - 45 the no 8 bus from Old Ford ended its journey here-my mum was a conductress.
