I think this is the (original 19th century) Royal Oak pub, prior to its 1930s rebuilding. Anyone know better?! Even the replacement rebuild is now no longer there. |

It looks as if the camera has captured a ballast laying operation. There is clearly new (white) ballast on one track and a train of open wagons with either white loads or dusty interiors from which the ballast may have been discharged.
There appear to be some shadowy figures stand along the line of new ballast. Are these a PW (permanent way) gang trimming the newly arrived material? |

Baguley Congregational Church. The Congregationalists moved to a new church building on the new Baguley Hall estate around 1950, and a Full Gospel Pentecostal congregation took the place. The church has fairly recently (2014) been demolished for redevelopment. |
