I think this is the (original 19th century) Royal Oak pub, prior to its 1930s rebuilding. Anyone know better?! Even the replacement rebuild is now no longer there.

Spinney Road - this small estate of 1930s ultra-mod flat-roofed houses was apparently in the early stages of construction when this photograph was taken.

Baguley Congregational Church - bought, post-war, by a Pentecostal group when the Congregationalists moved, post-war, to a new building on the then new Baguley Hall estate. Fairly recently (2014) demolished under a redevelopment prgramme.

This picture, taken seven years later in 1934, shows Baguley's first Manchester overspill local authority housing estate, which had been developed in the intervening years on the land between the A560 Altrincham Stockport Road and the railway line east and south-east of the village centre. This shot looks a little north of eastwards.
