| New cars arriving for export. They are sheeted over, and there are more on the quayside. Loading onto ships was a slow process, as each car had to be craned onboard. |

| A pair of well wagons. These are the unusual cast steel type designed by the Southern Railway's Chief Engineer, O.V.S. Bulleid. They were two tons lighter than similar "fabricated" wagons, but had problems with cracking. One is preserved on the Bluebell Railway. |

The vessel looks very similar to the 'Worthing' which operated from Newhaven. She was built in 1928 and sold to Greek owners in 1955. However the deck below the bridge is more enclosed on this ship. [A good photograph of the Worthing can be seen in Richard Danielson's Railway Ships and Packet Ports, Twelveheads Press, 2007, 8] |
