Poplar bus garage on Athol Street. Originally built for horse drawn buses it closed in 1961 and was demolished soon after. |

Below the pin is the site of 1868 built Aberfeldy Tavern. You can see the openings to the cellars beneath the pavement that was a haunt for many a kid that lived local. |

I believe the building below the pin was a temporary prefab pub replacement for the Aberfeldy Tavern destroyed during the war that stood on the corner od East India Dock Road and Aberfeldy street. It was replaced by a contemporary pub in 1958 and demolished in 2015. |
