New Medway Steam Packet Co PS "Queen Of Thanet" built in WWI as a minesweeper (HMS Melton) and acquired by NMSPCo in 1928, entering service in 1929. Sold in 1949 to Red Funnel Steamers at Southampton and renamed "Solent Queen" but damaged by fire while being reconditioned in 1951 and then sold for scrapping. |
