This was the entrance for men who worked on the sidings and just visible is their snap hut. Mr Macgregor worked here and lived on Woodhouse hill road with his family.

It was here, in 1959, that a school chum of mine aged 10 carved his initials into the paving slabs. These slabs were set at a slant to the pavement just below and the cobbled street just above. This slope was separated from the street above by an iron chain. This chain had metal spike fitted to it. The initials... J.H They were there till the slabs were stolen a few years ago.

Aerial view showing the area around Woodhouse Hill Road, running up from the centre left and down to the centre right. Telford Terrace leads off to the top left, Leasowe Road to the top right and Sandon Place to the bottom centre. Woodhouse Hill Place is on the bottom left. Hunslet Carr School, including the infants building, is in the centre, surrounded by terraced housing all the way round, with some allotment gardens on the bottom right.

This photo may well be part of this flight AFL4107 and has somehow 'got lost.'
