Stourport's 'Super' Power Station, as it was known at the time. The frontage which faced the river was a spectacular piece of architecture, which featured on many postcards and tourist trinkets, and when it closed down, it was a shame that some of the buildings weren't retained for alternative uses. The fact that a small town like Stourport was able to have such a grand power station may have been because local man Stanley Baldwin happened to be Prime Minister at the time!
