Derby Road station built by the L.N.W.R. This branch ran to Hugglescote where it joined the joint railway, Midland & L.N.W.R., which took it to Nuneaton via Market Bosworth.

Debatable whether Derby Road station was "former" in 1947. It served passengers 1883-1931 but stayed open for goods until 1955. The wagons in the yard show at least one local merchant is receiving coal by rail.
