"Diddler" Trolleybus, one of the 60 strong fleet operating out of Fulwell depot. Built for the London United Tramways they were the first trolleybuses to operate in London, the first five routes commencing in 1931. Unlike the trolleybuses that followed these diddlers had a half length cab and bonnet front - like a normal bus, rather than the full length cab that became standard. Taken out of service by 1948 when the then new Q1's came to Fulwell. No 1 can be seen at the London transport Museum, Covent Garden. |
