LOCATION OF OLD 'ASTON TRAMWAY DEPOT'...became a bus depot,then a museum, now a facilities/banqueting/corporate events enterprise. THERE IS, ABOVE THE CENTRAL DOORS, A LARGE STONE SCULPTED WITH THIS INCRIPTION "BOROUGH of ASTON MANOR, TRAMWAYS DEPOT" From the days when ASTON was separate and not part of BIRMINGHAM.

HOLFORD MILLS...old maps show this as manufacturing 'Arms & Ammunition'..powered by a mill race and a pond fed from the RIVER TAME.

Another point of interest to me, today this area is an industrial estate but back in the late 40's this appears to be temporary housing stock

This is my parents house where I lived 1983-86. We were told that on the playing fields opposite during the war was an Italian POW camp. Is this image proving that tale?
