This building remains in 2013, in some isolation. Currently known as the Tame Valley Hotel, it sells one real ale (Thwaites)and is one of the Tameside venues for the Whit Friday Brass Band Contests. The bands play in the garden behind the pub. (The band buses use the car park which has replaced the small factory across the road)

This bank is now hidden from the road by very tall mature trees. There does not seem to be a hint of trees in this image.
