This building remains in 2013, in some isolation. Currently known as the Tame Valley Hotel, it sells one real ale (Thwaites)and is one of the Tameside venues for the Whit Friday Brass Band Contests. The bands play in the garden behind the pub.

Railway - to the right of here (east)is Stalybridge to the left (west) is Guide Bridge. Canal - at this point it is the Huddersfield Narrow Canal. The Ashton Canal starts at Portland Basin to the west of here. |
