Harcourt Street - I lived at number 30 till I was three. I had always thought the house was pre-war, but clearly not - it stood where the long open stretch is visible.

Largely rebuilt Birkenhead Park Station - devastated by bomb damage - note the number of houses in the area with new roofs. Many of the bombs dropped in this area - were 'Parachute Mines' - which floated silently down and exploded about 100 feet in the air.
