There's quite a few of Aintree but this is probably the best view of the Grandstand.

Ascot - spent many happy days here. Changed a bit since this photo was taken with the redevelopment 2004-2006ish.
Hi all by the way enjoying seeing the photos and reading some great comments. |

Parking was a bit tight at Epsom, even in 1921

Wetherby Racecourse in Yorkshire, seen here in 1928. Now reshaped by the passing of the A1M trunk road.

The Knavesmire course at York can be seen here running to the left of the lines of tents and up to the original grandstands. At the top right of the photograph it is possible to pick out the tower of the Terry's chocolate factory where Terry's All Gold and Terry's Chocolate Oranges were made. Sadly this is now closed and production has moved to eastern Europe.

Whilst not the course itself as such this picture is a great example of parking and queuing. Not sure how some of the cars at the bottom right are going to get out!

Not one I can personally remember as it closed in 1962 but know it's mentioned in a Dick Francis novel somewhere - may have to have a hunt and see which one!
