Benbow Hotel: The hotel was opened on 21 May 1916 by William Beardmore & Company Limited to meet the pressing need for accommodation for single and married workers at their Dalmuir works, but also more generally in the burgh of Clydebank. The hotel had 386 bedrooms, a public saloon, a restaurant for 1000 diners, as well as billiard, recreation, reading and writing rooms (Sunday Post, 21 May 1916).

Kilbowie (Old) station. Retained as terminus (under name Singer Works or Singer Workers Platforms) when line diverted to make room for factory. Its six terminal platforms were included in the Clydeside electrificaion scheme butall swept away after Singer closed.
