Dewsbury Empire Theatre. Built and opened in 1909 and closed in 1955. One of the countries largest and home to many broadcasts. Most of the stars of the period played here.

Note:- the LNWR, the LYR and the Midland Railway (also present in Dewsbury but not seen in the picture) became part of the London Midland and Scottish Railway, while the Great Northern became part of the London and North Eastern Railway in 1923.
