Six destroyers were built by this yard - Thornycroft - for the Chilean Navy. They were laid down between June 1927 and March 1928 and all were completed by July 1929. Those under construction and yet to be launched could be Requelme, launched on 21 May; Hyatt, launched in July, and Videla, launched in October 1928. Aldea was laid down in March, perhaps after this photograph was taken, and launched on 24 November
