Gunsite Camp. WW2 army camp serving a Heavy Anti-Aircraft battery. After the war served as a domestic site for various London based army units including the Royal Engineers Postal Services Branch. Now the site of the Linford Christie Stadium.
Wormwood Scrubs has a long association with the military, having been acquired in 1878 as cavalry exercise and training grounds. I believe that the land is still owned by the MoD.
